This one started close to home. As avid mountain bikers and RCMBA members ourselves, we didn't wait for a brief — we approached the Redwood Coast Mountain Biking Association with a vision. In collaboration with Higher Health Foundation, we set out to make a film that would do three things at once: ignite pride within Humboldt's local MTB community, position Humboldt County as a premier mountain bike destination on a national stage, and make RCMBA a more compelling organization in the eyes of funders and land advocates alike.

Humboldt County wasn't just the backdrop — it was the main character. Our creative challenge was to make something that could move a room full of shredders and impress a boardroom full of grant makers, and we believed those two goals didn't have to be in conflict. The film was submitted to Freehub Presents, one of the most respected mountain bike film festivals in the country, and made the cut — going on to screen at 40+ locations nationwide. Back home, we took it further, organizing a theatrical premiere at the Arcata Theater Lounge as a fundraiser for the association, turning the film's release into a community moment as memorable as the trails that inspired it.
